Carissa Lee swept No. 1 singles, and four teammates also didn't lose a singles set as top-seeded Buchanan marched into the Central Section Division I tennis finals against Tri-River Athletic Conference rival Clovis West by coasting to an 8-1 win over defending champion Stockdale.

Lee, a junior, also teamed with unrelated freshman Megan Lee for an 8-6 triumph in No. 1 doubles for the 19-3 Bears, who will host the second-seeded Golden Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Thursday for the title. They split 5-4 matches in the TRAC.

In D-IV, senior Tiffany Friesen won in No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles as top-seeded Immanuel defeated Granite Hills 8-0 for its fourth consecutive title and fifth in six years under coach Craig Statton. Friesen won 6-0, 6-7, 10-5 before teaming with senior Megan Grant for a 6-0, 6-1 win for the Eagles, who reached the finals with 9-0 wins over Dos Palos and Exeter. The match against No. 2 Granite Hills was shortened by darkness.
