Now apply online for Yosemite camps
Reservations for Yosemite's High Sierra Camps are notoriously hard to get. For the summer of 2010, applications will be available online for the first time.
All applications submitted before the Nov. 1 deadline will be entered into the annual lottery.
"For decades, the only way to enter the High Sierra Camp lottery was to submit a hard-copy application to our Fresno reservations office and wait for three months," said Dan Jensen, chief operating officer for DNC Parks & Resorts at Yosemite. "Those days are over."
Any canceled space will be filled by a second-round lottery using applications that were not awarded during the first round. Details: www.yosemitepark.com.
