High Sierra Regatta
When: Saturday and Sunday, and next weekend
Where: Huntington Lake
Watch some of California's top sailboat racers duke it out on one of the West Coast's best (and most scenic) sailing venues. The best viewpoints are on and around Lakeshore beach, located adjacent to the main boat ramp.
The regatta is spread across two weekends with two heats on Saturday and one Sunday. Racing begins at 11 a.m. both days.
This weekend features smaller centerboard-class boats, while the larger, keel classes take over July 18-19.
