Jeangerard foundation gives $100k grant for Sequoia and Kings Canyon education

A $100,000 grant from the Jeangerard Family Foundation in Madera County will fund an update and reprint of Junior Ranger booklets for Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

The grant was announced this month by the Sequoia Parks Foundation, the nonprofit fundraising partner to the adjoining national parks in the Southern Sierra. The booklets, which teach children about natural sciences, are provided free at visitor centers.

The Jeangerard Foundation, established in 1992, specializes in conservation and preservation of natural resources. For information, call (559) 739-1668.
