That is because the Lakers freed up cap space Thursday to go after James and Paul George after they traded Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. to the Cavaliers for Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye.
ESPN projects the Lakers to have $46.9 million in cap room this summer, and could increase if the team releases Julius Randle.
The Oakland Raiders quarterback sent out a tweet to James to try to entice the NBA superstar to head to the Lakers in the summer.
“@KingJames I know you’re hot right now bro, but come on home to the #LakeShow and make the cavs regret losing you... again...,” Carr tweeted.
What Carr is referring to is James bought a second home in Los Angeles for $23 million in December.
As for George?
“Haha I’m sure PG knows how I feel. I don’t want to bother my bro with that though. I don’t know Lebron so I thought I’d try for my Lakers!?,” Carr tweeted.
Carr met up with George after the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder game on Tuesday night in Oakland.
Other people chimed in, like Raiders offensive lineman Marshall Newhouse.
