The Buzz: Clovis West continues to ride on top, as no team from the Central Section has topped the Golden Eagles this season.

Madera makes a move up to No. 5 after impressive wins recently against Clovis and Clovis East.

The third spot in Division III goes to Mt. Whitney, which beat previous No. 3 Redwood last week.

The Buzz: Clovis West placed seventh at the Western States Invitational last weekend in Modesto, the highest placing by a section team at the 32-team tournament that gathers top schools from throughout Northern California.

Clovis jumps ahead of Buchanan for third overall based on a head-to-head win and better placing at Western States.
