Memorial 15, Hoover 12
Playing its second game in six nights, No. 11 Memorial found its stride late in the game Friday night to defeat No. 14 Hoover 15-12 and remain undefeated.
Christian Garcia scored his second touchdown on a 6-yard run with 3 minutes remaining in the third quarter, and Bryant Cummings and John Savage connected on a conversion pass for a three-point lead, before the Panthers turned to their defense to preserve the nonleague victory at McLane.
Memorial (4-0) had three second-half interceptions -- two by junior safety James Huelskamp and the other by senior cornerback Jon Andreasen -- while escaping shorthanded against the Patriots (3-1).

Rakim Brown scored 19 points and Anthony Trammell added 13 for Central.
For Westchester, Jordan Mayes had 19 points, Reggie Murphy 17 and Dominique O'Conner and Dwyane Polee added 10 apiece. Polee has committed to USC.
