No. 1 Clovis East clinches TRAC
Top-ranked Clovis East clinched outright the Tri-River Athletic Conference title Friday, winning 66-51 at eight-year reigning league champion Clovis West 66-51.
The Timberwolves, 23-4 overall and 8-0 in the TRAC, rallied from a 32-28 halftime deficit to outscore the No. 2 Golden Eagles 38-19 in the final two quarters.
Kevin Bailey scored 13 points and John Hedrington added 12 for Clovis East, which defeated Clovis West in the past two Central Section Division I championships.
