BALLS, BATS AND BUZZ

It should be quite a sprint to the finish for the top seed in Division I between Bullard, Central and Stockdale. The Knights would appear to be the favorite for the top seed if they win out this week with County/Metro Athletic Conference games against Clovis North and at Sanger. But the Grizzlies will win the powerful Tri-River Athletic Conference with a victory today against Clovis, and the Mustangs can wrap up the title in the rugged Southwest Yosemite League with a win today.

The cross-city rivalry game Friday between Tulare and Tulare Western will go a long way in determining the seedings in Division II, where El Diamante also will be in the mix for the top seed.
