Katie Schafter pitched a one-hitter and struck out nine as Memorial defeated McLane 8-0 to clinch the North Yosemite League with a 9-0 record and one game remaining.
Kassi Warkentine pitched a five-hitter with 12 strikeouts, Marissa Lourenco singled and scored the tying run on a wild pitch in the seventh inning, and Tori Rich singled, stole second and scored the go-ahead run on Sam Mendoza's single in the eighth as Washington neared its first league softball title in the 31-year history of the program by winning 4-1 at Sierra in the North Sequoia League.
Halee Cole and Irene Barrantes combined on a five-inning no-hitter as Dos Palos topped Tranquillity 10-0.
