School: Buchanan

Position: Designated player, catcher

Year: Senior

She's qualified because: Lawley isn't afraid to get dirty or get hit by a pitch. A true power hitter and four-year starter, she led the team in hitting (.402), RBIs (25) and doubles (nine). She also hit two triples and scored 10 runs (with 16 more scored by pinch runners). She was a first-team All-TRAC selection and is an all-state nominee. She received the team's Outstanding All-Around Player award. Lawley is looking to play at Boston College.

The word: "Rushael had a great offensive year for us. Defensively, I feel there is no catcher that is better. She is as physically tough of a player as I have ever coached." -- Buchanan coach Dean Gregory
