School: Clovis

Year: Freshman

Events: 100, long jump, triple jump

She's qualified because: Prandini placed fourth in the long jump (19-23/4) at the state meet to set a school record. Her mark also ranks No. 2 on the all-time freshman section list and No. 11 all-time in section history. At the section meet, she won the long jump (18-71/4) and placed second in both the 100 (wind-aided 11.74) and triple jump (section freshman class-record 38-3). She was the North Area champion in the long jump and runner-up in the 100 and triple jump. She holds freshman class and school records in the 100, 200, long jump and triple jump.

The word: "All season long, she was able to work through her injury and still compete with the best in the state." -- Clovis coach Bill Buettner
