He's qualified because: Finished just behind teammate Dan Wilson for second in the 200 free in 1:43.72. Swam the leadoff leg of the 400 free relay in an All-America consideration time of 46.81 to help the Cougars top perennial race winner Clovis West in an All-America mark of 3:09.85. His leadoff split in the 200 free relay was a consideration time of 21.49 as Clovis finished second in an All-America mark of 1:27.02.
