Year: Sophomore
School: Bullard
Singles record: 18-5
He's qualified because: Played No. 1 all season in leading Bullard to the Central Section Division I championship. Along the way, he twice defeated TRAC MVP Andrew Combs of Clovis. The only local players Papac lost to were Josh Lorentzen, Jeremy Quiroz and Clovis West's Vincent Paganetti.
The word: "Nick showed his true potential by going three sets with Quiroz. He eats, breathes and drinks tennis -- more court time than a judge. He is very hungry to win an individual Valley and a couple more team titles. The biggest difference between this year and last is the mental side of the game. Nick constructs a point so much better now, and his patience has improved tremendously." -- Bullard coach Mark Weatherly
