MATT HARKENRIDER

Grade: Senior

Position: Catcher

School: Yosemite

Quick pitch: North Sequoia League Utility Player of the Year hit .380, ranked among the section leaders with 44 RBIs and went 3-1 with a 1.60 ERA as a pitcher.


MARTIN VIRAMONTES

Grade: Senior

Position: Pitcher

School: Bullard

Quick pitch: County/Metro Athletic Conference Player of the Year went 9-2 with a 1.20 ERA while guiding the Knights to a 12-0 league record and into the D-I quarterfinals. Next stop: Loyola Marymount.


CODY MARTIN

Grade: Senior

Position: Infielder/pitcher

School: Dos Palos

Quick pitch: Northwest Sierra League Player of the Year completed a 28-win, four-year career by going 11-2 while guiding the Broncos to a second-straight D-IV championship. He also batted third, drove in 37 runs and played shortstop. Next stop: Gonzaga.


ANDREW RICH

Grade: Sophomore

Position: Infielder/pitcher

School: Washington

Quick pitch: North Sequoia League Player of the Year anchored a school record-breaking season (26-6) by going 10-1 with a 1.65 ERA and two saves, and hitting .348 with 39 runs, 22 RBIs, 15 doubles and 22 steals in 24 attempts.


ROBERT FREITAS

Grade: Senior

Position: Infielder/pitcher

School: Fowler

Quick pitch: Another key to making the Redcats' section record-tying 33-win season possible, the third baseman hit .435 with a .741 slugging percentage, scored 38 runs, drove in 43 and went 9-0 with a 1.34 ERA.


BRETT JONES

Grade: Junior

Position: Infielder

School: Bullard

Quick pitch: The section's best hitter, according to his coach, Chad Thornhill, he batted .420 overall, .540 in the CMAC, swatted 11 doubles and three homers and drove in 40 runs.


ROBERT ALCALA

Grade: Senior

Position: Outfielder/pitcher

School: Liberty-Madera Ranchos

Quick pitch: The Southwest Sierra League co-Most Valuable Player was most responsible for the Gold-Hawks' No. 3 D-V ranking in the state. He hit .450, scored 39 runs, drove in 47 and went 9-6 on the mound with a 1.07 ERA and a section-leading 144 strikeouts in 78 1/3 innings.


CAMERON MORELLI

Grade: Senior

Position: Outfielder

School: Tulare

Quick pitch: One of the section's top table-setters, he batted .467, scored 44 runs and stole 20 bases in 21 attempts for the 19-8-1 Redskins.


BRANDON KING

Grade: Junior

Position: Outfielder/pitcher

School: Hanford

Quick pitch: West Yosemite League co-Player of the Year set the stage for senior season by hitting .385, scoring 40 runs, driving in 20 and going 7-4 with 1.89 ERA and 91 strikeouts in 74 innings as a pitcher.


STEVEN PISTORESI

Grade: Senior

Position: Designated hitter/pitcher

School: Memorial

Quick pitch: The Cal Bears await the big right-hander, who went 10-1 as a pitcher, closing a 27-2 career, and batted .384 with three homers and 19 RBIs as the Panthers' cleanup hitter.
