GUARD, CLOVIS WEST
Grade: Junior
Height: 5-5
She's qualified because: The Tri-River Athletic Conference co-Player of the Year became progressively more conspicuous -- not easy in the team's platoon system -- as the Eagles closed a 25-8 season with an 18-2 run and a section D-I championship conquest of top-seeded Stockdale. She led the team in scoring (11.7) and steals (3.4), and scored a game-high 20 points in the 66-59 victory against Stockdale.
The word: "She had to defend the other team's best guard every night. And with our up-tempo pressure the whole game, to also be our leading scorer, that was carrying quite a burden. Her numbers weren't gaudy, but when they had to be, she was more than capable. She kept coming up big in big games." -- Eagles coach Craig Campbell
