Sanger High water polo and swimming star Emily Imfeld was the grand prize winner Monday night at the 34th annual Senior Girl Athlete celebration.
The banquet honors Fresno-area senior girls who excel in athletics, academics and community service. Each of the 22 honorees received a scholarship. It’s a signature event of the sponsoring Junior League of Fresno.
Imfeld has a better-than-4.0 GPA and is involved in student government and 4-H, plus is a volunteer at church and at the California Armenian Home and for Coats for Kids, Toys for Tots and Terry’s House. She won this year’s Jim Coiner Sportsmanship Award for Central Section Division I girls water polo players.
