McKay Leos scored the only goal Frazier Mountain would need in the 31st minute and the second-seeded Falcons went on to defeat No. 5 Fresno Christian 2-0 for the Central Section Division VI girls soccer championship on Tuesday.
Monick Powers added an insurance goal in the 34th minute for Frazier Mountain (15-2-3) which had to play at Fresno Christian despite being the lower seed because of rules that prevent teams from the High Desert League from hosting playoff games during their first two years as members of the Central Section.
Sharon Lemburg won her first section title in 20 seasons coaching the Falcons.
