The Bee's Boys Soccer All-Star first team for 2013-14.

ALEX CARBAJAL

School: Madera
Grade/position: Senior/goalkeeper
• The résumé: All-County/Metro Athletic Conference selection was backbone of defense that allowed 22 goals in 26 games. Made 96 saves as Madera finished 14-6-6.

JOEY CHICA

School: El Diamante
Grade/position: Senior/midfield
The résumé: Repeat All-Bee selection and two-time West Yosemite League MVP had 26 goals, 17 assists for D-II runner-up Miners. Chica's four-year career, including first two at Hanford, produced 70 goals and 54 assists. Committed to Cal State Dominguez Hills.

MIGUEL DIAZ

Grade/position: Senior/midfield
The résumé: Capped four-year varsity career by doing all the dirty work in march to D-III final as a defensive mid. First-team All-North Yosemite Leaguer took all of Fresno's penalty kicks and set plays.

GERMAN GUTIERREZ

Grade/position: Senior/defender
The résumé: Leader of defense that gave up section-low 0.55 goals per game. Earned first-team All-East Sierra League honors while helping Aztecs win second straight D-VI title and reach Southern California Regional D-III final.

The résumé: Capped three-year varsity career with a 38-goal, 12-assist season that saw him selected West Yosemite League's co-MVP. Helped Trailblazers go 17-4-1 and reach D-II quarterfinals.

ALEXIS JIMENEZ

The résumé: First-team All-North Yosemite League selection had team-leading totals of 18 goals, nine assists, including goal in all three Wildcats playoff games en route to capturing the school's first section title with a 2-1 win over El Diamante in D-II.

JUAN CARLOS LAZCANO

Grade/position: Junior/midfield
The résumé: First-team All-Tri-River Athletic Conference selection for co-champ Grizzlies. Finished with seven goals and team-leading 29 assists as Central reached D-I semifinals.

ERNIE MACIAS

School: Kingsburg

The résumé: Central Sequoia League MVP carried offense for 14-7-5 team that reached D-III quarterfinals by producing 27 goals and eight assists.

JOHNNY NAVARRO

The résumé: All-North Yosemite League selection's switch from midfield late in season helped solidify defense as Wildcats won seven of their last eight, including 2-1 over El Diamante for D-II title. Rodriguez, who had four goals and five assists, signed with Chico State.

The résumé: Earned All-Tri-River Athletic Conference honors for third time when he was named Defensive Player of the Year. Helped Golden Eagles post six shutouts. Committed to NAIA school Westmont.

CALISTRO SANTIAGO

School: Kerman
Grade/position: Senior/midfield
The résumé: Helped drive Lions to D-IV championship with 21 goals (10 on free kicks) and 27 assists. First-team All-North Sequoia League pick scored Kerman's first goal off a direct kick in 4-1 rout of Washington in the section final.

JOSE TORRES

School: Orosi
Grade/position: Senior/midfield
The résumé: All-Bee and East Sierra League's Offensive Player of the Year for second straight year, Scored 30 goals and had 19 assists while helping Cardinals repeat as D-V champions. Contributed 60 goals and 36 assists the past two seasons.

RAY TORRES

School: Selma
Grade/position: Junior/midfield
The résumé: All-league pick had 17 goals, 14 assists as Bears won Central Sequoia League title and earned No. 1 playoff seed in D-III. Has 30 goals and 27 assists in two varsity seasons.

DANNY TREJO

The résumé: Broke onto Central Section scene with 44-goal, 16-assist season while leading Aztecs to West Sequoia League title (earning MVP honors) and runner-up finish in Division VI.

CARLOS VALENCIA

The résumé: West Yosemite League's Defensive Player of the Year anchored unit that allowed section-low 14 goals. Also scored three goals in finale of three-year varsity career for the Trailblazers.

The résumé: All-East Sierra League pick had 16 shutouts during march to second straight D-VI title and runner-up finish in CIF SoCal Regionals in D-III. His 55 shutouts in four-year career tied the school record.
