Fresno State outfielder Brenna Moss and right-hander Jill Compton swept the Mountain West's weekly honors in softball, the conference announced Tuesday.
Moss, a senior out of North High, was named player of the week after going 9 for 16 with three doubles, three runs and five steals as the Bulldogs won 4 of 5 games at their Fresno State Classic.
Compton, a junior who prepped at Arroyo Grande, went 2-1 in three starts, is the pitcher of the week after allowing four runs in 21 innings, including a shutout against Pacific. The lone loss was 3-1 to then-No. 16 Minnesota, which climbed one spot to No. 15 in this week's National Fastpitch Coaches Association rankings.
Fresno State (19-10) opens conference play Friday with the first of a three-game series at Colorado State (18-13) in Fort Collins.

The Bulldogs were picked to win the Mountain West championship in a preseason poll of league coaches that was released in February. The Rams were picked for fourth.
