Bulldogs to face tough softball foes
It's a good thing Fresno State will put a deep, experienced softball team on the field for the 2010 season.
Coach Margie Wright, like always, has fashioned a brutal schedule that should prepare the Bulldogs for a run at a 29th consecutive NCAA Tournament.

The first season for Fresno State women's soccer coach Brian Zwaschka just can't seem to get on the right track.
The Bulldogs again failed to score and missed their chance to win back-to-back games for the first time as Fresno State lost 2-0 to Sacramento State on Sunday at Bulldog Stadium.
Fresno State (2-7) outshot Sacramento State 8-6 but was shut out for the sixth time.

'Dog briefs: First swimming and diving win
Fresno State's swimming and diving team made history Friday - albeit against an NAIA opponent - with its first victory since the program was reinstated in 2008.
The Bulldogs beat crosstown rival Fresno Pacific 182-77, winning nine of 14 events and every team member contributing at least one point.
"It just feels awesome to get our first win. I can't stop smiling," second-year Bulldogs coach Jeanne Fleck said of her team.
