Bud Kaeding led a 1-2-3 sweep by drivers piloting central San Joaquin Valley sprint cars at the 25th annual Dave Bradway Jr. Memorial King of the West race Saturday night at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico.
Kaeding, in his second season racing for Oakhurst-based Williams Motorsports, scored his 11th career victory in California’s top sprint car series.
Lemoore’s Carson Macedo, in the Easton-based Tarlton & Son car, was second and Fresno’s Dominic Scelzi in the Gary Scelzi Motorsports car was third. Macedo leads Scelzi by two points, 547-545, in the King of the West season standings.
Also competing in Saturday’s 23-car main event were Craig Stidham of Fresno (13th), Scott Parker of Coarsegold (21st) and DJ Netto of Hanford (22nd).
