Fresno State guard Marvelle Harris suffered a concussion when he hit the floor hard driving to the basket in the Bulldogs’ loss to Colorado State in a quarterfinal game at the Mountain West Conference Tournament, but a day later was able to travel home with the team as scheduled.
The Bulldogs were busing back to Fresno on Friday afternoon.
Harris, a first-team all-conference selection, was injured with 3:34 to go Thursday night and Fresno State trailing 65-52.
The Bulldogs junior hit just 1 of 10 shots in the 71-59 loss and was called for a charge on the play.
Harris was helped to the locker room and attended to by team medical personnel. He will be reevaluated this weekend and go through the Athletic Department’s concussion protocol before resuming workouts.
