Sunbirds men pick up a win
Roger Paul had a season-high 28 points as Fresno Pacific downed Dominican 87-77 in a PacWest Conference game at Special Events Center.
The Sunbirds (7-13, 3-10) shot 54% on the night and 47% from 3-point range.
Matt Hayes led the Penguins (9-13, 6-8) with 23 points.
• Jenay Herring and Taylor Caspers each had 13 points, but it wasn’t enough for Fresno Pacific as Dominican defeated the Sunbirds women 86-64. Carly Holboke poured in a game-high 26 points for the Penguins (10-10, 7-7). The Sunbirds dropped to 3-15 and 3-10.
Rams baseball series now at Euless
The Fresno City College and Los Medanos weekend nonconference baseball series has been moved from Pittsburg to John Euless Ballpark because of a threat of rain.
The series opens at 3 p.m. today with a doubleheader. First pitch for a single game Friday is scheduled for 1 p.m.
• Reedley will play a Friday doubleheader against Marin starting at 6:30 p.m. It was scheduled as a single game Saturday but moved up because of the threat of local rain.
Seymour named All-American
Fresno Pacific junior Daniel Seymour earned Division II All-American first-team honors from the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches.
Seymour was named All-Western Water Polo Association after leading the league with 66 goals. The Placentia native has 178 career goals — second all-time in school history.
