Nick Hilton finished with a game-high 18 points, including six 3-pointers, in state-ranked No. 2 Fresno City College’s 68-61 victory over Columbia in a Central Valley Conference men’s basketball game Saturday.
The Rams trailed 7-0 before capturing the lead at the 11:45 mark when Hilton drained consecutive 3-pointers as Fresno City (21-3, 5-0) moved ahead 16-10 and never looked back in handing Columbia (14-7, 5-1) its first conference loss. Marquell Hubbard led the Claim Jumpers with 13 points.
Vasquez leads Rams women to win
Sara Vasquez drained 5 of 6 shots behind the arc in the first half and finished with 15 points as NorCal No. 8 Fresno City cruised to a 70-43 win over Taft in CVC women’s basketball action.
