State Center Community College District is committed to preparing students to succeed in higher education, careers and productive citizenship. The district serves approximately 50,000 students annually at six locations.
If the students are to be successful, it is imperative that they are provided with classes in Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible classrooms, instructional equipment and technology that are up to date and meet industry standards, and training that prepares them for careers.
Measure C plays an integral part in providing the needed experiences for transfer students, and training for such positions as future law enforcement officers, firefighters, nurses, agricultural technicians, engineers and manufacturing technicians. A skilled workforce increases the quality of life in our communities.
Passage of Measure C on June 7 will provide new and improved facilities at the district’s three colleges and three educational centers, new and upgraded programs, improved technology and instructional equipment, and increased services to veterans.
Never miss a local story.
As we look to the future in this region, it is important that we have a skilled workforce that will provide the leadership necessary for vibrant communities. Measure C will provide the career preparation necessary for these new leaders.
I urge you to vote “Yes” on Measure C on June 7.
