The homeless situation is far from solved. Stolen carts are left all over town. Piles of trash are left as the homeless move on. The petty crime continues.
Three things are needed. Each councilperson’s district needs a shelter, to spread the costs and implications equally around the city. Each homeless person needs access to one-stop help and analysis. And vagrants need to be abstracted from the truly homeless and dealt with accordingly.
Is there anyone in Fresno with the political will to seriously begin to address the issue? A lot of people are running for political offices at this time. Who is going to step up?
