The Fresno Bee should present a special award to Stewart Hough for his letter titled “The dangers of subjective reality” published March 9. It surely must be the most obfuscated letter you have published in the last decade.
The “Aristotelian Law” that he refers to holds that two statements that contradict each other cannot both be true. From that high point of irrefutable security, he makes a perfect half-gainer into the frigid waters of religious certainty and concludes that there can be no such thing as “an open-hearted church in Fresno.”
Perhaps there is more than one position that is “synonymous with chaos” in his letter.
