The New York Times story published by The Bee (Jan. 17) on the continuing water crisis in our Valley should be mandatory reading by all that are concerned by the decimation of our ag economy and enormous loss of jobs essentially being caused by environmentalists and the Democrats in Washington, D.C., and Sacramento.
If the Hispanic community redirected their voting bloc to the Republican side of the ledger, water would flow and the high unemployment rate in the west side communities would drop in half within two years. While the unemployed stand in lines for food and supplies, their children are suffering and California’s two U.S. senators, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein, refuse to see the damage to the Valley and its families that they have caused.
If the Hispanic community doesn’t wake up soon, this entire situation will be the normal and the victims will be their children. So “let’s make our country great again.”
