I agree with Andrew Fiala when he states that there is much good in the world (article Dec. 26). Most of us are good and kind and would never hurt another if we can help it.
The day before Christmas, I was buying gas at the USA Station (Cedar and Shields avenues) and three customers wished me a Merry Christmas. Many times while going to different stores and banks, I have had doors opened for me … sometimes from young men who looked like gang members. When I say, “Thank you, sir,” I actually get a smile.
Basically, most people are good.
