Racism has tremendously taken a toll on our cities. It seems that daily innocent lives are being taken.
The African-American community is being targeted most by this racist behavior. The saying #BlackLivesMatter has gone viral andAfrican-Americans have taken these incidents very seriously. Why are our people continuously having their lives taken away?
The Charleston church shooting and recent threat made by a white Missouri man at Northwest Missouri State University are incidents we have to watch out for. He stated, “I’m gonna shoot any black people tomorrow.”
People often forget that we are all human and make mistakes, but some things are just not acceptable and should not be tolerated, ill or not.
Speaking out and educating our young African Americans and others within our community in a positive manner is a way to bring awareness. We want our communities and cities to come together and stop the racism that is breaking out country down. Prayer works.
It’s heartbreaking and sad that our children have to grow up in a world where they targeted due to their skin color.
