Extreme times require extreme measures and must be considered even if the measures are not part of our current routines with water. What are the main uses of water in the home? Are they not bathing and toileting? Are there things we can do in how we use these to conserve along with these? The answer is yes!
Having spent time in Romania, the Romanians don’t get clean like we do. They use a nozzle attached to a hose. They get wet, lather up, rinse off and are done with little to no water on the floor. I can get clean and done in less time than when I was showering as before.
When using the toilet, only flush when you have solids not just liquids. When brushing teeth, use two hands, one turning on/off the water with the other brushing. Run the dishwasher only when full.
