I agree with Gov. Brown, the act of cutting down from that delta project of 100,000 acres to 30,000 will in many ways be more efficient to the state of California and its people.
Why do we really want to spend our water on fishes instead of agriculture and citizens? The cost of restoring 100,000 acres of delta habitat will cost California billions of dollars. Instead, decreasing the amount of acres also decreases the amount of money by more than 90%.
Why do people all of a sudden want to help the environment? I understand we are in a tough situation, but we are guilty of committing negative acts against our eco-system and, quite frankly, I would rather help out by allowing more water to our farmland.
I don’t know much about the fisheries in California nor how they economically contribute to the state, but I’m almost certain that it doesn’t compare to the agriculture industry.
Never miss a local story.
