I’ve lived in downtown Fresno for nearly 13 years. During my stay, I have seen many things come and go. Recently I’ve noticed a large number of lofts and equally expensive modern housing being built throughout the area.
As a long-time resident, it’s frustrating to witness this expansion without amenities. Where will all the new folks purchase groceries, work out or enjoy a Sunday morning brunch?
Sure, we have a few places people can choose from, but many people (like myself) will likely get in their vehicles and head outside the area for simple necessities that should be included in this equation.
No green space, no gym and certainly no plan for such things seems ill-advised to those of us who have been waiting and wandering long before the dream of believing in downtown became a mantra.
