Trump’s tax bill is gaining in popularity now that folks are starting to see their take home pay go up, and the mantra from the Republican Party is that the Democrats have overplayed their hand decrying it. Well if you like the tax bill now, you’re going to love it by the time the Koch Brothers spend 400 million dollars on midterm ads.
That’s how good the tax bill is for them.
For you and me, here’s my accountant’s advice. Don’t spend the extra income too quickly.
The one thing that’s certain about the tax bill is that it’s uncertain. Who knows whether this careless bill got the numbers right.
Who knows what we’re going to be getting in the next couple of years? A lot less, most likely.
Political scientists from New York University, have shown that if you increase peoples’ incomes slightly in the 12 months before an election, you’ve got them on your side.
That’s just what the Republican Party did. Kind of like vote buying in banana republics don’t you think?
