I have been a loyal subscriber of The Bee since 1978. Although I am always interested in local and national news, my main intention in purchasing the paper was my obsession with the Sports pages. I am always impressed with the details on box scores in both professional games as well as local teams.
Imagine my surprise when I open up my Sports section to find out that you are no longer printing box scores for any Major League Baseball teams outside of California. Please remember that a lot of your followers are not only old school, you know, a cup of coffee at sunrise, the trip to the end of the driveway to retrieve the paper.
However, a lot of us are fans of teams outside of California. As hard as that is to fathom in a world of Dodgers, Giants, and A’s fans, personally, I hope the Padres beat them all. I realize that print news is becoming obsolete, and changes like this may ensure your fate.
I may be wrong, but I can tell you this, no box scores, no subscription.
Never miss a local story.
