In the April 9 Bee article, “Steep water cuts on the way,” I think about the water wasters in Fresno. On the top of the list is the city of Fresno. As you drive around, you see the city watering the streets and gutters.
Water is such a precious commodity now, there should not be any green lawns. I still see water being wasted everywhere. The school district is another big violator of wasting water. If everyone who sees water being wasted goes online and reports the offenders, it will definitely help.
I look for builders of new homes being restricted to no green landscape — only landscape like they require in Arizona. Let’s face it, we will soon be a desert.
Never miss a local story.
