I echo the same concern and frustration in regards to a recent letter to the editor about the sprinkler project being installed along Friant Road (Alluvial to Copper avenues).
The timing and decision by the city is not only in poor taste, but a slap in the faceto the little guy. The little guy would be us homeowners cutting back on water use and, in turn, watching our rates increase and our yards and trees suffer.
Where is Tree Fresno in all of this? I, for one, jog Woodward Park only to see massive old trees and lawns drying up and dying. Seems like much needed water should go to the parks not an ugly median down a way-too-busy stretch of road few seem to notice or care about.
Install drip irrigation like the rest of us are being “forced” to. What a joke.
Never miss a local story.
