We retained six red seats and four basketball seats, including foundation charges, for 22 years.
This allowed us to purchase two red parking passes for tailgating. Our tickets were used for entertaining customers and friends. Many of these customers eventually purchased their own tickets.
When Fresno State built the lacrosse field, I was told that my foundation donations were not enough to retain parking in the red lot and all that was available was one parking spot on the west lot or east of the softball field.
We moved from Selland Arena into Save Mart Center. We had good seats until we got older. We then realized both the football and basketball stadiums were built with no entry about half-way between the top and the bottom. It was necessary for us to walk up and down 55 steps to our basketball seats.
North of swimming to the football stadium, up the ramps to the top and then down to our seats, both stadiums seem to be built for maximum seating, not considering convenience. We canceled everything, as tailgating clients and friends could not find us.
We feel reinstating the satellite bus program would help football sales. It seems to help the casinos.
