All I can do to answer questions about the Red Wave is relate my own experience. I’m a retired person with a limited income.
In 2013, I attended every home football game; it cost me $1,161or $198 per game! In 2014, I attended four men’s basketball games; it cost me $418 or $104 per game. The costs included the ticket, gas from Visalia to Fresno, parking fees, food in and out of the stadium, and, in the case of the football games, a motel room the night of the game so I didn’t have to drive back to Visalia on Highway 99 after 11:30 p.m.
I have trouble walking any distance, so I have to park in the handicapped parking spaces. But to get one at the south end of Bulldog stadium, you have to get there 4 1/2 hours ahead of game time just to get in line for when the parking lot opens four hours ahead of game time. Ten minutes after the gates open, the handicapped spaces are all filled up.
So maybe you can understand why I’m not really excited about wanting to watch losing teams lose?
The best bargains are baseball, softball and women’s basketball. Can’t see why more don’t attend!
