The United States government closely resembles a huge group of individual corporations.
These private “corporate-like” businesses are composed of thousands of self-indulgent “independent contractors” without allowed outside intervention.
When asked by outside “intruders” to explain their behavior or business practices, employees and their bosses know nothing and no one is beholding to anyone but the “corporation.” If anyone has the gall to investigate them, surprisingly no one is in charge but that’s OK because these “corporate-like executives” owe no one an explanation anyway.
Each agency makes its own undocumented rules to maintainfantasized personal “corporate secrets.” The budgets are bottomless, allowing the expenditure of trillions of taxpayer dollars without much explanation. The instruments of their work are claimed to belong to the employee personally, and no one can ask anything about them.
If any wrongdoing is suspected, the Fifth Amendment suddenly comes into play and/or the alleged wrongdoer is retired with honors, given a promotion with a raise or continues in the job. Private jets are sometimes provided select “contractors.”
I’m just sayin’. What a government! What a country!
