There is no problem community-, government- or business-wise, if people stick to exercising, eating healthfully and keeping up-to-date on recommended tests and vaccines.
The problem is when people insist on fast food, smoking, doing drugs, drinking to excess, etc. It is then that the community is called upon to rescue these people from their obesity-related health problems, cancer and injuries.
By and large, the taxpayers’ biggest expense is for medical care. That said, yes, everyone should have some type of health insurance coverage.DAVE FAETH
