I am not a farmer. I am not a politician. I am someone who has lived in the San Joaquin Valley since I was a child. The San Joaquin Valley grows the food that feeds not only the state and the nation but the world.
I hope the politicians in Sacramento and Washington, D.C., realize this and don’t let farming in the Valley go the way of manufacturing in the United States. I want to go to the grocery store and buy a peach that was grown here in the Valley instead of having to buy one that was grown in a foreign country.
