Regarding plastic shopping bags: One day this writer stopped in at a grocery store to buy one item. However while obtaining this one item, the writer had seen another item he could use, so he also picked that one up.
On the way out of the store, he noticed a couple of other useful items, so he also picked those up. By this time, the trip to the checkout counter was becoming a bit awkward, so he happily placed them on the checkout counter. After paying for the items, he bagged them into those dastardly plastic shopping bags. Those bags have been a convenience for decades, but now through the insanity of legislation, they will soon no longer be available.
If a patron goes into a store, said patron will then have the privilege of purchasing a bag to carry his merchandise out. This writer asks how this insanity became a law? A shopping convenience being removed? Why?
Leave the plastic shopping bags in the stores, they are a tremendous convenience! Abort the law that will forbid them.
