I took my two girls for an evening at ArtHop. We enjoyed a kid’s art exhibit from the PTA at Frank’s Place, and they got to speak with a young, aspiring artist. As a father, I was more concerned about my surroundings and found the area on Fulton Street to be fairly safe.
Our next adventure took us down the Fulton Mall, where we had an interaction with a disturbed man, who thought it was kind to yell at us about his work for the government as he was waiting for his wife. He was fairly harmless.
We arrived at a full house at Peeve’s Public House. The girls wanted to hear the music, but the menu didn’t match their appetites. So we strolled across the way and found a great burger joint called Take 3.
We capped our evening off with an amazing tour of the Warnors theater, along with a demonstration of the organ. What would it be like to see a silent film enhanced by the organ, we wondered? We arrived at 5:30 p.m. and were back in our north Fresno home by 8 p.m.
Never miss a local story.
