It has been an honor and privilege to have served as an elected member of the Fresno County Board of Supervisors for the past 12 years. I dedicated myself to being available to my constituents, facing challenges and making tough decisions. I was grateful to have worked with amazing folks whose dedication and abilities helped navigate Fresno County to a strong fiscal position.
Being elected by your community to serve is very humbling and gratifying. Every day you are able to impact the lives of your friends, neighbors and families. I took that responsibility seriously and often relied co-workers, staff, and most importantly, prayer.
As my term comes to an end, I am optimistic that there are great things ahead for Fresno County and — with rain on its way — for agriculture. I was known as the “show me the water” supervisor, because we all know that with water, we can feed and clothe the world.
Fresno County is an amazing place that I have been honored to call home. . Thank you for the opportunity to serve.
