Having moved from Salinas in February 2006, I was not very familiar with Children's Hospital Central California. Then I experienced my first "Kids Day" in March 2006.
Seeing all those people coming together in that rain to raise money for such a worthy cause was heart-warming. I never saw a person that wasn't smiling. Right now, KISS-Country has its Radiothon going on, and they are striving for a record in fundraising this year.
Although my three boys are all healthy, thank God, you never know when you might need to rely on the doctors and nurses at Children's Hospital. As a "newer" Valley resident, I encourage all residents new or old to make any kind of donation you can. Every dollar counts.
Remember, you never know when or if that will be you telling your story of wonderful support from Children's.
Never miss a local story.
