If I had any thoughts about voting for Sen. John McCain, they vanished after reading "Merchants dispute McCain's comments on Iraq security" in The Bee on April 3.
The heavenly picture he describes when returning from his recent trip to Iraq was as false as a $3 bill, according to those who actually live there. What prompts a person to present such a scenario of tranquility in complete contradiction to the reality of chaos according to the locals?
It is totally unsettling when politicians purposely tweak the truth and in essence pull the wool over the eyes of some of our citizenry. If Sen. McCain is such a person, I could not seriously consider him for the president of the United States.
Never miss a local story.
