I have been inspired by the recently released public service announcements promoting the San Joaquin River as a vital public resource. Millions of people in the San Joaquin Valley depend on the river to provide clean, reliable and usable agricultural, municipal and drinking water, and we need to ensure the San Joaquin River will continue to provide these benefits to our communities in the future.
As a watershed coordinator working on the Merced River, I applaud everyone involved for collaborating to educate the public about the San Joaquin River. Working together, we can make this community a better place to live, and future generations can enjoy the river as much or more than we do today.
Never miss a local story.
