Barney Barnd [letter Oct. 8] states there is a double standard in Congress in dealing with the sexual conduct of some of the members of Congress and of former President Clinton.
I would like to point out to Mr. Barnd that, although Democrats support their own, the main difference in the relationships of President Clinton and Gary Condit is that their relations were consensual and with members of the opposite sex.
Former Rep. Mark Foley was e-mailing under-age teenagers of the same sex for sex. Quite a difference, and just having Mark Foley resign is not good enough. Or did the Republicans change their tune and now believe that same-sex relationships are OK by them?
